A white-label SEO partner lets a Halifax web design firm sell SEO and GEO under its own name while someone else does the production. You keep the client, the invoice and the next redesign. The partner runs audits, fixes, content briefs and reporting behind the scenes. The hard part is choosing a partner whose model fits how a design studio actually works.
When we searched for Halifax firms that openly offer white-label SEO to other agencies, the results were thin: directories of agencies selling directly to businesses, plus national resellers. So this guide covers both, local and national, and explains which fits which kind of studio. RankMeTech publishes it, and we say so wherever we appear.
Why design studios need a different kind of SEO partner
Web design firms have three needs that generic SEO resellers often miss:
- Pre-launch work, not just monthly retainers. Redirect maps, schema and on-page structure have to be done before the site goes live, or rankings can drop at launch.
- Platform fluency. Halifax studios build on WordPress, Shopify, BigCommerce, Webflow and GoHighLevel. Your partner’s notes have to be developer-ready for the stack you actually use.
- No conflict of interest. If your SEO partner also sells websites, it’s a competitor that has just met your client.
The partners compared at a glance
| Partner | Model | Best for | Watch for |
|---|---|---|---|
| RankMeTech (Halifax, publisher) | Scoped white-label SEO and GEO, flat per-client rates, human-reviewed | Studios that want launch-ready SEO plus a monthly GEO retainer under their brand | Scoped per client, so there’s no instant self-serve ordering |
| SEO Brothers (Halifax) | White-label local SEO, platform-led | Agencies focused on local-pack visibility for small businesses | Compare deliverables and reporting depth against your clients’ needs |
| Vendasta | AI workforce platform and marketplace for agencies | Agencies that want software plus resellable products in one place | Platform learning curve; check what’s automated versus reviewed by people |
| The HOTH | Order links, content and managed SEO at scale | Agencies that know exactly which SEO products they need | You do the strategy; ordering isn’t the same as delegating |
| SEOReseller | White-label SEO, PPC and social ads packages with a reporting platform | Agencies that want packaged multi-channel resale | Package fit for small Atlantic Canada clients |
| DashClicks | White-label fulfillment bundled with agency software | Agencies that also want CRM and project tools | Overlap with software you already pay for |
A closer look at each option
RankMeTech: launch-ready SEO and GEO, invisible to your clients
We’re a Halifax-based white-label partner that works only through agencies. For design studios that usually means three things: a pre-launch technical audit with redirect mapping, schema and intent-mapped page structure; a monthly SEO and GEO retainer after launch; and AI-visibility tracking in a report carrying your logo. Rates are flat per client and scoped after a free audit. More on our web design agencies page.
SEO Brothers: a local white-label option
SEO Brothers is the other Halifax firm we found that positions itself as a white-label SEO partner, with a platform-led approach to local SEO. If your clients are mostly small local businesses chasing the map pack, it’s worth a conversation. We set out the differences on our RankMeTech vs SEO Brothers page.
Vendasta and DashClicks: software-first platforms
Both bundle fulfillment with agency software. That suits studios that want a single dashboard for clients, billing and resold services. Before signing, audit the tools you already pay for so you don’t buy a second CRM. Details: vs Vendasta and vs DashClicks.
The HOTH and SEOReseller: product and package catalogues
These work best when you already know what each client needs and want to order it. The trade-off is that someone on your team still owns the strategy and quality control. See vs The HOTH and vs SEOReseller.
How to choose: a five-minute scorecard
Score each candidate from 0 to 2 on these points. Anything under 7 out of 10 isn’t ready to carry your brand.
- Conflict: do they sell websites or SEO directly to businesses in your market?
- Launch support: will they do redirect maps and schema before go-live?
- Branding: are reports fully white-label, with no partner name anywhere?
- GEO: can they baseline and track AI mentions, not just rankings?
- Exit: what’s the minimum term, and who owns the work if you leave?
How to package SEO in your next build quote
- Line 1, launch-ready SEO: a one-off fee covering the audit, redirects and schema.
- Line 2, monthly growth retainer: starts the month after launch.
- Line 3, AI visibility add-on: optional, for clients who care about ChatGPT and AI Overviews.
- Your margin: your retail price on top of a flat wholesale rate. Model it on our wholesale pricing page.
Studios that quote SEO with every build stop losing clients three months after launch, when someone else offers to “fix the SEO” and suggests a redesign.
What the first 90 days with a white-label partner should look like
Whichever partner you pick, the first three months tell you whether the relationship will hold. Here’s the rhythm we’d expect, and what a Halifax studio should insist on at each stage.
- Days 1–14, the audit and scope: a written audit of one client site, a ranked fix list and a flat quote. If a partner can’t tell you what month one includes in writing, walk away.
- Days 15–45, the first fixes: technical issues, schema and the highest-value page updates. Your developer should get clear tickets, not vague advice.
- Days 46–60, the first report: rankings, traffic and an AI-visibility baseline in your template, with a plain-English summary you can forward without editing.
- Days 61–90, the content rhythm: briefs and drafts for the pages the audit flagged, plus a short call to agree next quarter’s priorities.
Two warning signs in this window: reports that arrive late or carry the partner’s name, and fixes that land on a live client site without your approval. Either one means the partner isn’t treating your brand as theirs to protect. A good partner also tells you early when a client’s goals aren’t realistic, so you can reset expectations before the client gets frustrated, not after.

Frequently asked questions
Are there white-label SEO companies based in Halifax?
Yes. SEO Brothers and RankMeTech both position themselves as white-label SEO partners for agencies and are based in Halifax. National platforms such as Vendasta, The HOTH, SEOReseller and DashClicks also serve Canadian agencies.
Will my clients know I use a white-label partner?
Not if the partner is truly white-label. Reports and deliverables should carry only your brand, and the partner should never contact your clients.
When should SEO start on a new website build?
Before launch. Redirect mapping, schema and page structure protect existing rankings and set up the monthly retainer that follows.
Can a design studio offer GEO without an SEO specialist?
Yes. A white-label partner can deliver the GEO baseline and monthly AI-mention tracking under the studio’s brand, while the studio stays the client’s point of contact.
